Barry spent 20 years in the hospitality sector, owning and managing several well-known watering holes. Barry embarked on a career change into the financial services sector in 2008 where he’s happily built up a very successful career.

Barry achieved his APA qualification in 2014 and QFA qualification in 2015. Barry combines his natural ability to communicate with his knowledge and experience in the financial sector in a way that clients feel their homes and their futures are in trustworthy hands. Barry comes from a large and close knit family and has two children, Luke and Lily. There’s never a dull moment in family gatherings where there’s break outs of sing songs or stories from the past.
Barry has a huge passion for Sport particularly the GAA – he was heavily involved with his home club Bere Island for many years. Barry won a Sigerson medal with UCC in 1998. Barry became a selector with the Beara Senior Football Team who won the county championship in 1997. This propelled Barry to becoming a Cork Senior Football Selector in 1998. Barry is currently involved in management with Ballincollig Senior and Junior A footballers. Barry is also a keen golfer and walker.
